Hey Beautiful!

Your first paragraph and my e-mail are about the same thing! I just finished my e-mail to you, and realized upon starting to read this that we both wrote about church unity and loving people regardless of their beliefs and actions.

I agree with you on servant leadership, and it does work. I’ve seen it work in my life in High School, and I’ve read about it a lot from different journals as well as it being in the Bible. I’m still learning to serve, and I’m praying that God will help me to be a better servant.

I just somehow found my way to your blog, and I NEED to say this entry is amazing. Mostly the kind of things I’ve been dealing with, too. But God DOES really heal us from the rejection we’ve been facing. He is AMAZING.
The things you wrote are like from my life and from my DTS, and this encourages me SOOOO so much!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Amanda. I liked your analysis of King David’s treatment of Absalom. I’d never thought about contrasting Saul’s treatment of David to David’s treatment of Absalom before. It’s cool to see that David trusted God, though, instead of trusting in himself or other men. Amanda! You are so beautiful =). Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and I love it that I can be the one you accept that will pursue you and try to know you more! You’re absolutely wonderful to me. I like everything about you =).

When I feel alone, even while I’m around tons of people, I usually start talking to God. I know he’s always there, and he’s never going to leave me. So when I start to feel all by myself, I remember that God is there with me. He holds that position by my side to be with me through everything. Yeah, the Holy spirit is living inside of us. He’s here =). He’s there! We can depend on him and know that we’re not alone, not really, even though I feel alone sometimes. You’re right. God is pursuing us, and what a wonderful thing that is =).

Hey Amanda,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I love to read them! And I totally agree that it’s easy to over complicate things between us and God…to create a system instead of a relationship…to be led by man’s rules instead of God’s spirit. I should probably spend more time seeking him than I do. Sometimes I wonder what that looks like, and other times I think I know. But all the time, I feel like when I just try a little, God shows up.
